The occasional, often ill-considered thoughts of a Roman Catholic permanent deacon who is ever grateful to God for his existence. Despite the strangeness we encounter in this life, all the suffering we witness and endure, being is good, so good I am sometimes unable to contain my joy. Deo gratias!

Although I am an ordained deacon of the Catholic Church, the opinions expressed in this blog are my personal opinions. In offering these personal opinions I am not acting as a representative of the Church or any Church organization.

Three Cheers for Bishop Wenski

Bishop Thomas Wenski, Bishop of the diocese of Orlando (and my bishop), has responded to the University of Notre Dame's decision to honor President Obama in about the best way possible. He celebrated a Mass of Reparation last week for the sins committed against the sacredness of human life. In his homily he specificaly mentioned the decision by Notre Dame. One can only hope that all our bishops would do likewise and storm heaven with the prayers of the Catholic Church in America.
