Does prayer accomplish anything? Does God hear and respond to prayer? The skeptics, of course, will answer with a loud, resounding, "No!", believing prayer to be a complete waste of time. But then God throws them a high, inside curve that directly challenges their beliefs, or perhaps more accurately, their lack of belief.
Yesterday I referred to John Hathaway's recently published article on the "Ministry of Suffering." Well John has just posted a remarkable story of prayer and survival on his blog, The Lewis Crusade. The story relates to the miraculous survival of four of the passengers on the plane that crashed in Alaska this week, an accident that took the lives of five people, including former U. S. Senator Ted Stevens. John has a personal connection with one of the survivors, and presents us with a side of the story that will no doubt be ignored by the secular media.
